And Then The Walls Went Up Again!

It has been more than exciting to watch the construction this week. Lots of you have dropped in to help work - or just to "take a peek"! What fun this has been. Today our friend Dale Norton gave the building a test run and declared it completely accessible.

I have to say that the tradesmen who have been doing the building are real craftsmen and I have been thankful, not only for their skill but for the respect they have shown for our sacred space, and the joy they have found in doing their work. The creativity they have shown to make the architect's vision come to reality is remarkable.

So much of the work they are doing will be unseen - the mass of wires, the studding and especially the curves in the cross space will never be seen when all is complete but they are critical to the finished product. I can't help but think how much this reflects our work in God's kingdom! Much of it will always be unseen, but oh the care it requires and the beauty of lives transformed by God's love.

We are building - both a structure and lives. It is a work of joy.photo-4
