Learning Opportunities (Sept. 10 - June):  Monday Bible Study 2018 PR

Our 12:10 p.m. Eucharistic services continue on Thursdays  (no service on Sept. 20 or 27).

Sept. 20: Marina Point Tea at 2:00 p.m.

Sept. 26: Prayer Shawl Ministry resumes. Please call Bev Brownlee for details 705-474-5522.

Sept. 26: Soup and Sandwich luncheon at St. Peter’s, Callandar from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at $8.00 per person.

Sept. 28-30: Lay Readers' Conference – Thunder Bay. Information is now available for the 2018 Lay Readers' Conference in Thunder Bay. See the link to our Diocesan website below.

Sept. 29: Cranberry Pancake Breakfast by St. Peter’s Anglican Parish from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Woodward Hall, 110 High Street in Callander. Menu includes cranberry and plain pancakes with cranberry sauce or maple syrup, pork sausage, tea, coffee and juice. Adults $8.00, children 12 and under $5.00.

Sept 30: Concert at St. Brice’s with Sean Dayton at 7:00 p.m. Music includes folk songs, Church music and The Beatles. Admission by donation.

Oct. 3: Early Bible Study on Lectionary readings at 7:00 a.m.

Oct. 11: Christian Foundations course begins. Times to be determined depending on preferences. Sign up sheet on Moreen’s desk. Please indicate whether you prefer afternoons or evenings for the course. Cost of materials is $30 for those who are able to pay this amount. For those who are able to pay for only part of it, or if you would like to cover the cost of materials for another person, that would be much appreciated. Please speak with Rev. Joan.

Oct. 14: Deadline to order frozen meat pies from St. Peter’s in Callendar. Pick up
Oct. 27 at St. Peter’s Woodward Hall between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. $5.00 each for 5” diameter pies.

Oct. 14: An opportunity to remember loved ones buried  in St. John’s Cemetery. There will be a short service at the Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. during which those buried in 2017 will be recognized, followed by time to visit the graves and place flowers (they will be available). Refreshments will be provided.

Oct. 14: Book Sunday. Christian Salvage Mission is collecting the following to ship overseas to developing countries: BOOKS----Bible dictionaries, counselling books, Theology, Bible Commentaries, Church Growth & Discipleship, Christian Biographies, Bible Handbooks, Christian fiction, Sermon helps, Bible Study Books & Booklets, School books from Christian Schools (math, spellers & basic readers) as well as medical books.
BIBLES ---All versions---New & Old Testaments, Bibles (in good condition)
TEACHING HELPS---FLANNEL-GRAPH, Children’s books, VBS material, clean Sunday School material, even if it is not a complete set
MUSIC---Hymn books with music, Chorus books with music, Sheet Music with words.   Christian CD’s and DVD’s of well-known Ministers & speakers
MAGAZINES, DEVOTIONALS OTHER ITEMS---Confident Living, Daily Bread, Decision, Discipleship Journal, Focus on the Family, Friends of Israel, Good News Broadcaster, Gospel Light, In Touch, Insight for Living, Israel My Glory, Leadership, Scripture Press, Today, and Turning Point

Oct. 19: Spaghetti Supper from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Gluten free spaghetti available, meat or veggie sauce, garlic bread, salad, dessert. $12.00 per person.

Nov. 17: Christmas Bake and Craft Sale from 9:00 a.m. to 2>00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Woodward Hall, 110 High Street in Callander.

Nov. 24: Christmas Tea and Bazaar.
