Christianity -- Boring? Irrelevant? Untrue?

What is the point of life? What happens when we die? What relevance does Jesus have for us today? How do we deal with guilt? with evil? If you would like to explore any of these questions then ALPHA is for you! What is ALPHA?

Alpha is a 13 week video course designed to teach the basics of the Christian Faith in a relaxed and "user-friendly" way. ALPHA was designed in England and is now used world-wide.

ALPHA is for

A - anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith

L - learning and laughter

P - previewing videos

H - helping one another; discussions in small groups

A - ask anything. No question is too simple or difficult

Each week there will be a supper provided. Generally, there will be a social time and then we'll begin the videos. Each of the 13 videos is given by the Reverend Nicky Gumble, priest at Holy Trinity Brompton Church in London, England. There will be then a time for questions and discussion and prayer.

In the middle of the course, there is a Holy Spirit weekend. The weekend will involve dinner on Friday night and 1 of the videos on the Holy Spirit. Saturday, there will be 2 videos and lunch will be provided.
